Oakland, CA

Managed all swimming pool and outside operations including customer service with members and guests.  CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and EO (Emergency Oxygen) Administration Certified.  Supervised and managed the staff of lifeguards on duty.

Provided direct supervision of patrons and maintained safety standards during recreational and fitness swim.  CPR (Cardiopummonary Resuscitation)  and First Aid Certified.  Attended monthly staff meetings and in-service trainings.  Promoted to Pool Manager, May 2017.

Swim Instructor, The Swimming Swan

Conducted swim lessons to kids and adults of all ages using fundamental techniques and learning styles.  Taught the basics of swimming to beginners and focused on technique with more advanced swimmers.  Designed and implemented games in order to practice certain techniques and skills.  Responsible for the life of children and adult in the pool for whom I was teaching.  Built lasting peer-mentor relationships with those I instructed.

Volunteer Work

Chapman University Delta Tau Delta "Delta Queen" Philanthropy Event Volunteer, Orange, CA:  Our 2017 Delta Queen show raised nearly $30,000 and put Delta Tau Delta over the $1million threshold of money donated to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), an incredible organization dedicated to the treatment and elimination of Type 1 diabetes.  March 2017.

Volunteer, Chaparral House, Berkeley, CA:  Provided resident-centered care in a home-like environment in a consistently highly rated Nonprofit Skilled Nursing Eldercare Community.  Care included reading, playing games and leading craft activities for the residents.  October 2013 - November 2016.

Tutor and Volunteer, Saint Theresa Extended Care Program, Oakland, CA:  During high school, I returned to my elementary school to help provide students with a safe and nurturing environment, outdoor recreation, enrichment activities, a homework zone and nutritious snacks.  I worked with STEP to promote social interaction between students of all ages and encourage the creative process through play.  August 2011 - June 2012.
